GORGEOUS EMBROIDERY TRENDS FOR FALL WINTER 2014 AT NEW YORK FASHION WEEK!!!!

It's that time of the year when our favorite quartet from Sex and the City brave the slushy sidewalks in their Manolos and Loubs ,just to get themselves front row seats at the New York Fashion Week!!!
As for us, we are absolutely gaga over the gorgeous display of uber-luxurious hand embroidery on the couture-sque  and the fabulous color palette!!!!
So many favorites, so many jaw-droppers, we are finding it hard to choose!!!!!!

Stunning Azzedine Alaia embroidery at Palais Galliera

After 4 years of renovation, the Palais Galliera has just reopened its doors. For the event the museum has been restored to its original 1895 look, featuring Pompeii red walls and framed with matte black doors. Olivier Saillard, its director, chose to show Azzedine Alaïa’s work here. He considers the couturier to be like the spiritual son of Madame Grès and Cristobal Balenciaga, (who he devoted two outdoor museum exhibitions to).
This flashback of 50 years of design enables us to discover his most significant dresses which he kept away from fashion shows in order to devote himself to inventing a style. A choice which he confirmed in the catalogue’s opening interview: “By opposing the superficial seasons and fashion shows, I’ve been one of the only people daring enough to break this demanding schedule that neglects design in favour of performance (…). To those who say to me ‘Alaïa, we don’t see you in catwalks anymore’ I tell them we do them every day but instead the audience is made up of a single new client or a panel of buyers”

19th CENTURY INDIAN JEWELLERY PROVIDES INSPIRATION FOR EMBROIDERY!!!!

THE MOST STUNNING INDIAN INSPIRATION FOR EMBROIDERY
Today we take inspiration from some masterpieces of 19th century Indian jewellery and then collect relevant embroidery material from our online shop http://embroiderymaterial.com/  necessary to recreate this gorgeousness on fabric!!!!!

 19TH CENTURY NORTH INDIAN PENDANT
SIMPLY STELLAR!!!!
If this doesn't inspire the most gorgeous hand embroidery in us, then what will?
Visualizing this in shades of silk threads..... ruby red, emerald green, golden yellow, accents of amethyst..... beaten metallic wire or dapka in gold and delicate bugle beads!!!
What's your take?
FLYWHISK FROM NORTH INDIA, EARLY 19TH CENTURY!!
Now this just spells LUXURY!!!
Again I would use this inspiration to create a decadent embroidery consisting of different shades of silk thread, tiny gold  bugle beads and metallic gold wire or dapka!!!
 19TH CENTURY NORTH INDIAN PENDANT

 SO GORGEOUSLY DELICATE ..........
Now for this, I would choose pearl finish clear crystals in nontarnishable brass holders, rich antique gold metallic wire or dapka for the delicate filigree work and luxurious silk threads in sapphire, emerald and ruby for the colored bases!!!!!!

Absolutely delicious!!!!!

SOUTH INDIAN TEMPLE NECKLACE, EARLY 19TH CENTURY
(FRONT ON LEFT & REVERSE ON RIGHT)

STUNNING, STUNNING,STUNNING!!
All I can say, is if anyone tops the list of creating uber-luxurious jewellery, it's us, Indians!!!!This highly-detailed necklace is absolute proof of that!!
For this, I'd go for a beautiful rich ruby crystal in a matte finish and use beaten gold metallic wire or dapka to encircle and create the beautiful shapes around the rubies. A few clear boat-shaped pearl finish crystals and a couple of emerald crystals in non-tarnishable brass holders should help you in recreating this masterpiece on the fabric of your choice!!!!!!

Continuing our love for metal

Continuing our love for metal!!!
Growing up in a sleepy sheltered corner of Calcutta on a diet of Rabindra sangeet and Beatles, all of a sudden the discovery of Metal and Rock during teenage years, proved to be a cathartic jolt to rebellious youth!!!
We are continuing on that road to new discovery every day,exciting.....unique..... and of course, coated with Metallic angst!!!!
Today we take a look at delicately wrought metal wire craftsmanship...... twisted, agonized and forged into intricate shapes , for who said there can exist beauty without pain?
The result is each unique element which can be translated into jewellery, accessories and surface ornamentation for apparel...... a mark of statement individuality!!!!!

NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL A STATEMENT!!!!!!!

A Statement. Isn't that what we are looking for when we are buying top-of-the-line designer apparel, jewellery or accessories?
An accent that sets you apart from the crowd, a footnote that declares you possess a unique temperament, a chord that remains with onlookers long after you are gone.
That sets me thinking....what IS it that makes the difference between Fantastic and Tack-tastic? And BANG comes my answer!!It is Quality.
The quality of thought process that has gone in creating a statement piece, the quality of skill used in creating it, the quality of material that has been visualized in that creative mind and then molded by those skilful hands.
And that is why it is so important to make sure that particular oh-so-important property of a statement piece is never challenged.
And that, precisely, is the reason why we, at http://embroiderymaterial.com/ , spend the best part of our sourcing team's time and energy , ensuring that all our products procured from every corner of the globe, strictly adheres to our highest Quality platform. So that you, as a design professional don't have to worry..... so that you can spend YOUR best time visualizing how to turn a statement embroidery element into a statement objet' d art !!!!
